Home » Boys' Basketball NewsDanial Breedin Signs with Montreat CollegeMay 16, 2008 By Mitchell High Staff of Mitchell High SchoolDanial Breedin, a three year varsity player for the Mountaineers, has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Montreat College. While playing for Mitchell, Breedin tallied 484 career points and set two school records. He now holds both the single season and career records for free throw percentage. During his junior year, Danial knocked down 71 of 80 (88.8%) foul shots. He made an impressive 191-228 (83.8%) shots from the charity stripe for his entire career. Breedin also was named to the All-Tournament team for both the 2006 and 2007 UNIMIN Harvest Hoops Invitational. Danial will follow former Mitchell High standouts, Ryan Cook and Kasey Cook, in suiting up for the NAIA Cavaliers. He becomes the third Mitchell player in the last three years to compete at the college level. During the 2006-2007 season, Michael Szymczyk led Belmont Abbey College's JV team in scoring and Lincoln Blevins played for Mayland Community College. |
